Captain Ventura
Its name is a tribute to the spanish captain Ventura de Lerma y Castilla, who generously left their lands to the Jesuit missioners in 1727, alter dying without descendants. They started planting the first vines at the Hacienda Cucha Cucha, where this sparkling wine comes from.
It presents a fine and elegant pearl, culminating in a rich creamy crown. On the nose is complex, remembering biscuits and orange blossoms. In the mouth it is structured and smooth, with a pleasant herbal finish.
Capitán Ventura is perfect for any celebration, as a starter or to enjoy with white meats and seafood. It is recommended to serve at 8 or 10 ºC.
Production:
This sparkling wine is produced with the traditional or champenoise method, the same used in Champagne region, in France, in which the bubbles are formed naturally inside each bottle, without injecting gas.
It has been in contact with its lees for 24 months and the grapes come from certified 100 years old vines, which are selected and harvested by hand during the early morning hours. It is an only 1.000 bottles production by year, processed and packed by hand in its origin.
